Patna: Jatui Police arrested two alleged Maoists from the Giddaur police station area at the end of the night because of their involvement in issuing threats to blow up Chaura train station last month.
The train movement was stopped for two hours due to the threat.
Acting on a tip-off, the police team carried out an attack on Maois’s hiding place and arrested Bhairav Yadav aka Gehuan and Sunil Yadav when they planned to carry out a big operation in the area.
A large number of gelatin and detonators are confiscated.
Jakui SP Pramod Kumar Mandal said Sunil was previously arrested and sent to prison in connection with the incident regarding Maois in this district.
Bhairav told the police that he was paid RS5,000 by Sunil to issue a threat to the train station manager.
During interrogation, there was a conspiracy to issue a threat to blow up the Chaura train station hatched by Sunil Sendang Yadav associates during their stay in Sheikhpura district prison.
Bhirav was released from a recent prison.
Mandal said the district police were looking for two Maoist activists since the incident was revealed on July 30.
