Srinagar: Two Hizbul Mujahidin Guerrilians – Part of the Outfit Hit Squad and are responsible for civilian killings – Shot falls in a meeting with security forces in Pulwama District Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, police said.
Security forces launched Cordon operations and searches in Khrew in the Pampore area from the district and the following information about the presence of militants there, said a police spokesman.
“During the search operation because the presence of terrorists was confirmed they were given repeating opportunities to surrender.
However, they shot indiscriminately in the party searched together to meet the meeting,” he said.
In the next meeting, two militants of Hizbul Mujahidin were killed and their bodies were taken from the Gunbattle location, the spokesman said.
He identified them as Musaib Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Khrew Pampore, and Muzamil Ahmad preferred, a resident of Chakoora Pulwama.
According to the police record, Bhat has a history of terror crime records and is involved in planning and carrying out some terror attacks including civilian atrocities, the spokesman said.
“He was also involved in the murder of a civilian, Javid Ahmad Malik (Peon), in the Lurgam area of the tral and part of the Hizbul Mujahideen hit squad which was responsible for civilian murder in South Kashmir,” he said.
Instead joined the rank of terror recently, he added.
Ingredients and burdensome ammunition, including AK-Rifle and pistol, found from the meeting site, said spokesman.
The restored material has been drunk in the case record for further investigation and to investigate the involvement of the duo in other terror crimes, he added.
