Gorakhpur: Gorakhpur Police on Tuesday arrested 6 people, including two small boys accused of committing cyber crimes and recovering five cellphones, 8 SIM cards from their ownership during a press conference, SSP, Dinsh Kumar P said, “Defendant used to steal Photos, listings and friends from social networking sites, Create fake accounts and request money from friends from account holders.
They are used to get money deposited in various bank / wallet accounts.
Their targets include Mla Fateh Bahadur Singh, Advocate Neeraj Shahi and many entrepreneurs, police officers, political leaders and prominent people.
The defendant asked for money from their friends and set him up in a bank account under a fake ID.
“The five accused of being identified as Ansar Khan, Shakir Khan, Waheed Khan and Qasim Khan From Mathura and two small boys were ordered under the relevant IPC section.
The defendant stole 80 lakh Rs only from Gorakhpur Regency and the police were investigating bank transactions.
