Rajkot: Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) from the Airport Police Station in Rajkot has filed a complaint against two men who are believed to be ‘relatives of MLA’, accusing them to attack and prevent government officers from the assignment of usage.
The source claimed that the Defendant Duo was Kin from MLA and therefore, FIR was delayed.
Only after this problem was raised on social media, that senior officers allowed PSI to register Fir on January 6, a week after the incident.
According to the complaint submitted by PSI R N Sankadiya, the incident took place on December 30 at the Bamanbor inspection post at Ahmedabad-Rajkot Highway.
Sankadiya stated that he was with other personnel from the Airport Police Station was assigned to examine the vehicle that came from Ahmedabad ahead of the new year for smuggling liquor.
On December 30, Sankadiya stopped the car with the AHMedabad registration number and had a ‘Gujarat MLA’ name.
When the car was marked to stop, someone from the car came out and asked Sankadiya “how dare you stop the MLA car”.
The man also tried to hit Sankadiya.
PSI did not call the defendant in FIR, but only mentioned the car number in complaints.
The two defendants fled without paying a fine for a luxurious number plate.
