Thiruvananthapuram: Two more suspects in the case of gangland pothencode sensational murder have reportedly landed in police custody.
According to the source, Prime defendant Sudheesh Unni alias Azhoor Unni and Brother-in-law victim of Shyamkumar was a suspect who had been arrested.
However, their arrest has not been recorded.
They were arrested from the hiding place located in Vembayam not too far from Pothencode, said source.
Of the 11 suspects identified in the case of Gangland’s murder, the police so far recorded an arrest of eight.
In addition to Sudheesh Unni and Shyamkumar, whose arrest has not been made is Rajesh aka Ottakam Rajesh, a feared gangster based in Chirayinkezhu.
Meanwhile, the senior police officer in question remained tight to lipward about his development.
Nedumangad DSP Raj Prasad, who coordinated investigations by various teams, said that the hunt for the three remaining suspects was still on and they were very close to them.
Already on Saturday afternoon, alleged murder occurred.
The victim, Sudheesh, 35, from Chempakamangalam was killed by a gang of 11 members in a terrible way.
The gang chased the victim and cut off his legs, causing him to die to death.
The gang competition was alleged to be a provocation behind the attack.
Sudheesh victims and their gang members allegedly attacked two members of the Sudheesh Unni gang earlier this month, causing serious injury.
They were also allegedly threw raw explosives in Sudheesh Unni’s mother during the attack.
Attingal police have arrested four men, including Sudheesh Sathhesheshies, in connection with the case.
Sudheesh was killed when he was hiding in his relatives’ house in Kalloor near Pothencode to avoid arrest by the police.
Nandeesh, 22, and Nidheesh, 24, Sasthavattom, Renjith, 28, from Kaniyapuram, Suraj, 23, from Korani, Sachin, 24, Chotbor, Jishnu, 22, from Thonnackal, Arun, 23, from Kalluvettankuzhy Near Tirukal and Sreenath, 21 , from Mulamkunnu, the defendant who caught him has been recorded so far.
