Thiruvanathapuram: Two more people, including a woman, was tested positively Zika virus in Kerala on Tuesday, taking the total number of infections in the country to 21.
35-year-old man, 41-year-old old woman, sashtamangalam natives here, found infected Virus, Minister of Health Veena George.
He urged people to be vigilant because the number of positive testing for the Zika virus has increased in the state.
Samples were tested in the virological lab in the government medical college here and in a coimbatore-based laboratory.
Zika’s virus testing began at the government medical college here on Monday, the Minister said, added that a total of 15 samples had been tested on the early days.
One person, whose sample was tested, was found positive for dengue fever and all 13 other samples tested negatively for any virus, the Minister said.
