Thane: City Police so far caught four accused of conducting Thane-based jewelry murder, Bharat Jain, who was kidnapped and strangled to death and his body was thrown in Retibunder Creek near Kalwa.
Those who were arrested had been identified as subhash surve 39, a taxi driver, Balwant Cholkar 36, Atul Mishra 25 and Nilesh Bhoir 35.
Police Naupada had caught a surve and cholester last week when a survey driving a car where Jain was kidnapped and helped murder, said an officer police.
The police said, on August 14, Jain a resident of the Lake Makhmali region was lost and the probe revealed that he was being kidnapped too, as in August 19, his body was found floating in Retibandar Creek in Kalwa.
Police scan several CCTVs to solve this case, but Mishra and Bhoir still cannot be traced.
Mishra and Bhir chased for a long time for the police, went several places in Coimbatore, Orissa, Bihar and finally headed for Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh where the police were waiting for them and then took them to Mumbai.
Naupada police arrested Mishra and Bhoir on Wednesday night, a police officer said.
