Kolkata: The detective department on Friday arrested two people present at the Kankulia Road House when the company executives Subir Chaki and his driver Rabin Mandal was killed on Sunday night.
This requires the number of people captured in this case into three.
Three more people, including the Prime defendant Vicky Haldar, in general.
Both were arrested on Friday – BAPI MONDAL (27) and Jahir Gazi (25) – were residents of Diamond Harbor and hiding at the residence of relatives in the region.
“Based on the interrogation of Mrs.
Vicky Mithu, several people were detained from 24 South Parts.
Among them BAPI and Jahir, who had been picked up from Govardhanpur in Patharpratima.
They are among those who have entered Chaki’s house and are direct participants in crime,” said CP Together (crime) Murlidhar Sharma, added that both of them claimed and would be produced in court on Saturday.
Police on Friday confirmed that there were five people present at home when the murder was committed.
Mrs.
Vicky Mithu, who was first arrested, was not present at the scene.
According to the police, BAPI, Jahir, Vicky and the other two met at the Ballygunge station at 4 pm on Sunday and went on to Chaki’s house on Jalan Kankulia.
Mithu allegedly arranged for three people, including BAPI and Jahar, to accompany Vicky and offered to pay them Rs 50,000.
Vicky has someone else.
Even though the police were not convinced on the motive of five people present, they suspected that they could try to extract money from Chaki.
The plan, police said, was hatched by Mithu and Vicky with the last to take the work of the supervisor in a building under construction in a side office so he could live close to Kankulia Street.
Vicky, police said, has often changed its location and has stopped using cellphones.
The police now cut all the road flow to him in an effort to force him to give up.
Some raids exist in areas such as Kakdwip, Frazerganj and Patharpratima and in several remote areas in 24 South Plares to try and arrest it.
