Surat: In the week of ATM theft of Rs 31.31 Lakh, the police broke the case that occurred in Vadodarea within the boundaries of the Pandesara police station and arrested two gang members based in Haryana on Thursday.
Police recover RS 50,000 cash and also cars, worth 6 lakh Rs, which are used in theft.
KOPS said that a group of six people were involved in theft.
The thieves sprayed several colors on CCTV cameras in the ATM booth and cutting the engine chest using a gas cutter on October 29.
Based on specific information, the police arrested Dildas aka Bablooo Saiyed (22) from the city.
Because it was interrogated, Saiyed provided information about Jakir aka Guchhu Sahbuddin aka Kallu Qureshi (40), who was arrested from Haryana.
ATM State of India State in Vadod Pandesara was stolen during Wee hours on October 29.
Allegedly that after stealing cash, thieves burned the engine and booth.
But now the police think that the fire might break accidentally.
“It is thought that the ATM cable caught fire while the thieves violate it to use a gas cutter.
However, they managed to steal cash trays,” said a police officer at the Pandesara Police Station.
Along with the ATM, fixture, AC and CCTV cameras are destroyed on the API.
“The gang comes from Mevat and after carrying out their theft again.
From the way the crime is executed, we suspect that it is a professional gang involved in theft of cash from the ATM,” said a police officer, police station Pandesara.
The police also identified four others involved in theft and effort to arrest them.
It is not clear what type of spray used to blind CCTV cameras and if cash at the ATM is also burned.
