Bengaluru: Two people have been captured by the CEN South Crime Police recently for allegedly deceiving city-based entrepreneurs amounting to RS 3.5 Crore with the pretext of helping him invest in the Cryptocurrency business.
Piyushbhai Himmatlal Soni and Rajeshbhai Dhirajlal Soni came from Gujarat.
The main suspect, Kunal Anup Chandrana, was still great.
The local court has fired a bail anticipatory Chandrana bail application on August 10.
Gowtham businessman, 37, from JP Nagar, has filed a complaint on June 28.
After his friend, Ramesh TV, made a profit, he was interested in the Cryptocurrency business.
By stating that he had little knowledge in this sector, Ramesh asked him to contact his friend Chandrana who reportedly was an expert.
On May 15, Gowtham transferred RS 3.5 Crore to two bank accounts provided by Chandrana to buy Cryptocurrency.
But Chandrana does not set the cryptocurrency, or return the money.
The police collected bank account details where Gowtham had transferred the number on May 15 and 17 and tracked Piyushbhai and Rajeshbhai.
Chandrana applied for anticipatory bail before the court in the first week of August.
While rejecting it on August 10, the court said the investigative officer had to recover currency and record his statement.
