Kalyan: Government Railway Police (GRP) has arrested three people, including two volunteers from an NGO working for child protection, because it extits the RS 500 from a 14-year-old boy who tries to take the train for Bihar, without a ticket, from the train station Kalyan.
The arrest accusations have been identified as Harish Singh (48) and Naresh Umbare (27), both of them worked as field officers from an NGO and Najam Siddiqui, 40, who run a business that sew in Ulhasnagar.
The police team looked for one more accused – Mukesh who was running around.
GRP officials said the small children came from Chamberan District in Bihar.
The accused of being accused of belonging to the Bocah Village on December 13 took the child to Ulhasnagar with his mother’s promise that he would make his life better by helping him good work.
The boy in his statement tells the police that Mukesh gave him a job at the Siddiqui cloth factory.
After working there for a few days, he began to miss his mother and decided to return to his village.
However, on Monday night when he asked Siddiqui to give him a reward of 7,500, Siddiqui handed it a hundred rupees not and asked him to leave, said the boy.
The boy said that when he reached the Kalyan train station, two people asked for his ticket and when the boy said he did not have it, they threatened him that they would make him arrested by the police and extort the Rs 500 from him.
Interestingly, after extorting money from the child, the defendant took him to Kalyan GRP, said they had found it at the station.
Valmiki Shardul, Senior Police Inspector Kalyan GRP said a FIR was registered with the four defendants and hunting for Mukesh.
