Mumbai: The Mumbai University exam is under the scanner to print two original Marksheet sets for the last 90 students from the course.
Because this is a serious irregularity, the university has initiated an investigation, even when two colleges involved playing the blamed game.
In unofficial arrangements, BC students from 3-year courses from Bhayander’s Mumbai College of Hotel managers are listed in university notes from Kalyan’s Holy Maria College of Science & Technology, because the first did not have university affiliates.
Fifty registered students until the first year in 2017-18, 40 others in 2018-19 in the same way.
However, the arrangement between the two colleges is called later because the monetary benefits promised by Bhayander College are not fulfilled, claiming Maria Fernandes, President Kalyan College.
In a pandemic, the university exam section sent a marking and convocessing certificate for both graduating groups to Kalyan College.
“The principal [from BHYANDER COLLEGE] cut us completely after he gets an affiliate later,” Fernandes said, who did not let go of students on the delayed contributions.
When a student approaches the university, the bond between higher education is revealed.
Meanwhile, the Principal of Bhayander College, Dilip Mahadik, wrote to the university, for separate markings and sets sent to him too.
Mahadik claimed he was the principal of Kalyan who was responsible.
“Mrs.
Fernandes got a marker in his house and did not give it to students.
When students desperate for the work and visa, I wrote to the university to issue fresh crackdown and provide an attempt to restore another set.
I have written to him, asking him to restore documents …
, “he said.
Fernandes, however, said, “Even though I have the original, a separate set is issued,” he accused Mahadik cheating to use college letterhead to seek marking, and said he reported it to the university.
Vinod Patil, Director (Examining Board & Evaluation) said they had prepared a University Cand investigation would be in a better position to comment after the report was submitted.
Senate members Pradeep Sawant said the two colleges must be de-affiliated and a case submitted.
“The university must help students get reception elsewhere.
