Two owned to sell rip-off sports brands

Letter: Two people from Valsad were arrested by Cid (Crime) on Monday to sell imitation clothing several popular brands.
Sleuth Cid (crime) has received information from these brand officials from Delhi that the garment shop owner in the Ramavadi Varsad area sells duplicate clothing with their brand name.
Based on this information, the police team along with company officials raided the shop called Ankit Emporium.
Sportswear and other clothes from various brands are found in stores and also their warehouses, but they are all found duplicates.
The police said that after inspection until Monday night night, 3,463 pieces of duplicate clothing worth RS 27.9 lakh was confiscated from the store and warehouse.
“Two people have been ordered to cheat and have been arrested.
They mostly sell sports clothing in wholesale and retail quantities,” said an official.
