Bareilly: Two people were killed by tigers in Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, officials said on Monday.
Kanhai (25), Sonu (25) and Monu were attacked by big cats on Jalan Ghungrai-diuria in the forest on Sunday, said Deputy Deputy Pilibhit Tigerwal Naveelwal.
While Monu managed to climb the tree and save himself, the other two were persecuted to death in place, he said.
The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem examination, said Khandelwal, adding that assistance will be given to their families.
