Letter: Two police officers were found to accept bribes of Rs 50,000 in Vyara by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Sleuths on Friday.
The police accused of – Vyara Circle Inspector Pravin Makwana and supervisory readers but Pratik policem Amin, held from the Circle Inspector office.
The trap was placed by N K Kamaliya, Police Inspector, ACB.
According to the complainant, the defendant has demanded bribery to provide a profitable report in the Gujarat High Court in connection with the dismissal petition submitted by a woman.
The complainant helps women accused of land disputes filed by their own family members.
The woman filed a petition in HC to bend criminal complaints against it with the help of complainants.
Recently, the complainant contacted Makwana and Amin to submit a profitable report in HC in connection with the petition for forging female friends.
However, the police demanded Rs 50,000 for profitable reports.
The complainant then contacted ACB.
