Salem: It is a close shaving for a passenger who is trapped between the express train and platform in Salem Railway Junction early on Wednesday.
Timely actions from two female police officers saved the age of the passenger, identified as Sivan Kumar, 20, Bihar.
Sivan Kumar traveled on the Special Train of Heat-Ernakulam Express with four others.
“He took the train in Hata on July 5 and traveled to erode,” said a police officer in Salem Junction.
The train reached Salem Railway Junction at around 1.30 in the morning.
The man tried to get off the train even before stopping.
He slipped and stuck between the train and platform.
Manju police chief and Constable Ashwini, who watched this, immediately rushed to the place and took out Sivan Kumar.
“Sivan Kumar suffered a minor injury.
The police took him to the train clinic for treatment,” the officer added.
After applying drugs to injury, the train police arranged the chair for him on the next train to scrape.
