Bhubaneswar: Two people, including a journalist from Puri have started a bicycle expedition to various countries to be sensitive to people about solid waste management.
Madan Sudan Mishra, a news journalist based in Puri, and his friend partner Bhanu rose planning to reach Leh – Ladakh on their motorcycle, covering at least 6,000 km at eleven countries.
Duo, who started their journey from the Grand Road in front of Jagannath’s temple on August 25, plans to cover the distance in 20 days.
“I have visited various countries on my motorcycle to merege people to avoid bad habits of consumption of tobacco and narcotics.
This time, our focus is to overcome pollution problems caused by poor waste management,” said Mishra, Secretary of Mission Odisha, a Voluntary organization.
