Tirupattor: A man and a woman, who joined government services by providing a fake certificate and has served as a teacher in elementary school for the past 10 years, was ordered by police in the Tirupattatt District in Tamil Nadu.
Police said the district education officials received complaints that Mahakshmi, 41, from Vaniyambadi worked as a trained postgraduate teacher at Girisamudaram Panchayat Elementary School and Oliventhan, 51, from Alangayam who worked as a trained postgraduate teacher at Vellakuttai Panchayat Union Elementary School Join false certificates.
Both have worked in the government sector for the past 10 years.
Officials sent their certificates to the Directorate of School Education in Chennai to ensure their authenticity.
The Directorate found that Mahakshmi failed in plus two but forged its certificate with impressive signs in all subjects.
Likewise, Oliventhan triggered its certificate by inflating the sign in three subjects.
Gnanagirijija District Education Officer submitted a complaint against both with police Vaniyambadi Taluk and Alangkayam police.
The two teachers were ordered under the 420 section (cheating and dishonestly inducing property), 465 (penalty for forgery), 466 (counterfeiting court records or public registers), 468 (forgery for cheating) and 471 (using as a fake document or electronic record) from the Indian criminal code.
