Srinagar: In a quick operation, Jammu police and Kashmir on Monday eliminated two commanders over Resistance forces (TRF), Lashkar-e-Taiba’s shadow clothes (leave), who were responsible for several murders in the city and motivated youth to join terror ratings , said a senior police officer.
Abbas Sheikh, one of the militants and the Head of the TRF who was still alive, and his representative Saqib Manzoor was killed in a shootout with police personnel in Aloochi Bagh in the city, officials said.
“We have information about their presence in the area.
Ten Jawan police dressed quickly surrounded the area and challenged the terrorists, who opened a shot.
In a retaliation shot, both of them were killed,” Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zona Vijay Kumar.

He said the assassination of Sheikh and Manzoor was a great success for security forces.
“On behalf of Abbas Sheikh, Saqib Manzoor has committed several murders.
They have spread terror in the area,” Kumar said.
He said the people in the area were fed up because both of them motivated young people to join terror rating.
“We appeal to people to prevent their children from joining terrorists.
If they have joined, please bring them back (to the mainstream).
We will welcome them,” he added.
Abbas Sheikh, earlier with Hezbul Mujahidin, has defected TRF two years ago.
According to security officials, Sheikh is the mastermind behind most of the murders carried out by his clothes in the past year.
Manzoor, a postgraduate student when he joined the TRF last year, quickly rode the ranks because he was believed to have executed several murders in and around Srinagar at Sheikh’s orders.
