Ludhiana: The CIA -2 team of Ludhiana police commissionerate on Monday arrested two individuals for automobile lifting and snatching. The authorities have recovered four stolen vehicles along with nine phones in their possession.The detained accused have been recognized since 24-year-old Tarun Kumar of Jodhewal along with 34-year-old Toni Kumar Mehra of Mohalla Preet Nagar. Even the CIA team arrested them from close Tikoni Park, Tibba Road, after a hint off.Assistant commissioner of police (detective) Surinder Mohan said that the accused had been crossing out of the region on a scooter once the cops stopped them in the test post and asked to receive the records of the scooter. They, nonetheless, didn’t do this and if contested the accused confessed to have stolen the car. The ACP added after the information given from the accused, and the authorities had recovered two scooters along with a bike, other than nine cellular phones. The accused had stolen both the vehicles out of Sundar Nagar, Subhash Nagar and Jodhewal region. They used to grab cell phones from commuters from Kailash Nagar, Kakowal street and Kali Sadak with these vehicles that were stolen. The cops said Tarun was also a drug addict and jobless. He’s been facing trial in several instances of snatching and automobile lifting. He had been detained in 2019 and arrived to bond in 2020. Mehra is also facing trial in 1 instance of snatching and he’d obtained bail 10 weeks ago. After coming from prison the accused started implementing the crime.A case was registered against them in Tibba police channel.
