Ludhiana: In two separate cases, the Special Task Force (STF) captured two drug vendors with Heroin worth Rs 4 Crore on Sunday.
In the first case, STF arrested the owner of the grocery store, Ashok Kumar, 24, from Peeru Banda Mohalla, with 590g heroin, Rs 23,000 medicine, electronic weighing and two-wheeled.
He was arrested near the old vegetable market, Salem Tabri, following a tip-off.
Heroin restored Rs 2,95 crore costs in the international market.
Inspector Harbans Singh, responsible for the Ludhiana STF unit, said the defendant revealed that before he was also arrested for peddling drugs.
About nine months ago, he came out with a guarantee and once again began peddling drugs.
He has been in trade for the past three years.
The defendant said he bought heroin from Bittu of Salem Tabri.
STF has nominated BITTU in this matter.
In another case, an unemployed man was arrested after 210GM heroin from RS 1.05 Crore recovered from him.
Inspector said accused Rana Goyal, 46, from Basti Jodhewal was arrested at a checkpost near A School in Moti Nagar.
Goyal said he had peddling drugs for the past year.
He was questioned about the source.
