New Delhi: Two men have been arrested at Patna for allegedly deceiving the BJP Sakshi Maharaj parliament of Rs 97,500 by forging their signatures on bank checks.
Delhi police have found that they have cheated several people using the same method.
The people arrested had been identified as Dinesh Rai, Kingpin, and his colleague Nihal Sinha.
According to the police, the cheating case was registered with MP complaints that alleged that someone cheatedly resigned Rs 97,500 from his bank account using fake checks, while the original examination he had.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Deepak Yadav said the alleged copy of the SBI parliamentary house branch was obtained and was found that three checks were stored in three different banks.
“Further questions revealed that the number received was circulated in three other accounts through the UPI transaction.
The accounts of the beneficiary account where the number credited from the first receiver account was transferred through UPI was also obtained.
It was found that from these accounts, the money was pulled through an ATM , “said Yadav.
With the help of technical supervision of the number of suspects, the police team managed to track Sinha’s location to Patna in Bihar.
After the arrest of Patna, Sinha, a BSC Pass, gave police details about the cellphone number that was linked to all accounts and ATM cards, DCP said.
He said he had come into contact with Rai, who used to give him a false check that was deposited in the bank and different money with cheating.
“Sinha gets 30% of the deceived amount as its part,” the officer said.
In Sinha’s disclosure, the police team went back to Patna to look for Rai.
He was arrested and taken to Delhi on transit delivery, said Yadav.
