Written by news2in

Gurgaon: A committee constituted to explore personal Covid hospitals overcharging patients has received five complaints up to now.
The panel has been set up from the deputy commissioner of Gurgaon, Yash Garg, on June 2.
Many complainants have stated hospitals gave them inflated statements during the release procedure.
According to sources, several mentioned irregularities associated with insurance claims.
One of the complaints, some are all about hospitals overcharging patients through therapy of post-Covid complications.
All these complainants have demanded they are billed based on the Covid therapy prices fixed by the authorities to get post-Covid complications also.
Back in June 2020, the Haryana government had adjusted rates for Covid therapy in private hospitals throughout the state.
While the speed of isolation beds in hospitals licensed into the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare (NABH) and Joint Commission International (JCI) has been fixed at Rs 10,000 each evening, to get ICU beds without any ventilators, the daily rate has been capped at Rs 15,000.
ICU beds using ventilators were priced at Rs 18,000 daily.
However, no such instructions are issued for therapy for post-Covid complications.
“We’ve obtained five complaints up to now.
We’ll meet once weekly to take the difficulties and based on the amount of complaints, how we may improve the frequency of encounters.
There’s absolutely not any deadline in regards to locating a settlement but we’ll attempt to be instant,” said town magistrate Siddarth Dahiya, who’s also the heart of this committee.
The panel will examine each criticism and telephone the complainant and hospital representatives to explore the issue.
An individual may submit a complaint into this Gurgaon civil agency office in Sector 31 or in the city magistrate’s office from the mini secretariat.
They are also able to be routed to ctmgrg@hry.nic.in.
