Two Weeks Post Festive Rush, Covid Well Under Full on Vidarbha

Nagpur: Until a few weeks ago, experts and even members of the Covid-19 task force expect a little surge in the number of new cases of Covid-19 infection, especially in the week-diwali weeks when the celebration season saw the main mix of population, travel, and hurried Buru shopping.
However, the numbers in Vidarbha show different reality.
Cases come on a normal average even after rushing festally.
In fact, the two-week post Diwali has seen 10 new cases more than two weeks before Diwali.
Thus it can be concluded that rushing festally and mix-up has not caused a surge in alarming Covid-19 infection.
“We have completed the main litmus test.
Not only in terms of numbers, new cases upcoming Post Diwali also provide assistance because most patients do not have more than mild symptoms,” said Dr.
Nitin Shinde, a specialist of infectious diseases.
“It can be considered a great achievement of the population , “Dr Shinde said.
According to Anand Thatte’s epidemiology, innate immunity, natural infection works for rural populations while vaccines do magic in urban areas.
“Vaccines have provided protection from serious illness.
Instead of none of the virus.
But, the spread has been very limited thanks to vaccination.
We must protect more populations with vaccine doses,” he said.
A senior member of Covid Task Force said that the government had been informed about post-festive conditions and it was advised to continue with the reopening plan.
“We keep the eyes close to a fresh surge in cases, especially in several European countries.
Unless we get new mutations, we are mostly safe in India,” said the doctor.
