Dharwad: Two women were attacked by wild animals in the farm field near the Govanakoppa on the outskirts of Dharwad on Monday.
Foresters, intimidated about the incident, rushed to place, and shifted the injured woman to the Dharwad District Civil Hospital.
The doctor said that the two conditions of the two women were stable, and they came out of danger.
Those who witnessed the incident said that women worked in their field when they were attacked by wild cats who jumped out of the nearest banana plantations, and arranged it.
Initially, the cat attacked Manjula Totager, a resident of Kavalageri Village, and tried to drag him.
Another woman who worked on the ground tried to save her, followed where the wild animal escaped.
While a disabled manjangan was attended, the people on the field heard another woman crying for help in the adjacent field.
The woman, Basavanneva Kulkarni, was also reported to be determined by the same wild animal.
The Deputy Forest Conservator (Division Dharwad) Yashpal Ksheesagar told TI that forest officials had not confirmed whether the animal was leopard.
