Bengaluru: At least two people were killed and three others suffered serious burns in the boiler explosion in a food factory in the capital of Karnakata Bengaluru on Monday afternoon, police said.
The other three, including two women, who were injured critically had shifted to the hospital, Ani quoted Bengaluru DCP (West) Sanjeev Patil.
According to the police, the explosion took place in MM food products at around 1,45 a night near the Anjan theater in the residential area.
About seven people worked there when suddenly the boiler exploded.
The factory, where snacks such as mixed, ‘SEV’ and ‘Çhakli’ are made, operating in a one-story building with asbestos roof sheets, police said, adding, there are around 15 lpg cylinders in the building but they remain intact.
The deceased was in the early 20s and native residents of Bihar, police said, added further investigation.
