Tirupur: The rural police arrested two young men on Tuesday for killing a friend in Vellakovil here on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as K Vijayaprakash, 20, a codumudi in the Erode district.
He worked in a biscuit manufacturing unit in Vellakovil and lived in a rented house.
He was also used to working as a laborer and became a friend of Raja, 19, a native of Madurai and Ajith, 19 Vellakovil, the two workers.
Trio is used to consume liquor together.
A few days ago, Vijayaprakash told Ajith’s parents about their drinking sessions.
Parents, who think their son is a teetotaler, rebuke Ajith.
“Ajith who was angry decided to kill Vijayaprakash and seek the help of the king.
The duo brought Vijayaprakash to an isolated place near the Pap Channel in Veppampalayam near Vellakovil on August 8 and attacked it with rocks and crescent.
They raised the body there and fled to Madurai, “Said a police officer also knew that the trio was used to consume liquor in an isolated area.
He visited the place and found his son’s body.
Vellakovil police sent the body to the Tirupur government hospital for postmortem.
Meanwhile, Police Inspector Vellakovil Vijyalakshmi and the team captured Ajith and King on Tuesday.
The duo was returned in prisoners and nested in the tirupur district of Jail.Tnn
