Hyderabad: Three people lost their lives in a rain-related incident triggered by cyclones for the last 24 hours in Telangana even when hundreds of people living in lowland areas in Hyderabad were evacuated for prevention places.
The police said a body was seen floating at high speed in Musi under the limit of the Amberpet police station on Tuesday.
Local residents took videos and notified the police and when the police could react, the body was swept away.
“Since heavy water flow, the body gets drifting at high speed,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (Division Malakpet) said n Venkat Ramana.
The police said they had launched a search and also checked the diary of missing people at the police station.
In another incident, a 27-year-old man was swept away on Monday night while crossing the flow that overflowed on his motorcycle in Pulusumamidi in the Vicarabad district and his body recovered on Tuesday, a police officer said.
Based on the number of registration of the vehicle both, the man was identified as Ishaq Pasha, a resident of Pulusumamidi Village.
About five km away, his body was found in the stream.

In the third incident reported from Karareddy Regency, a 55-year-old man was washed away after his vehicle slipped and him Falling into a lake while crossing and his body was traced later.

In Hyderabad, the police evacuated dozens of Shankar Nagar under the Chaderghat police station.
“Chaderghat Flyover was closed for some time, fearing Musi water might overflow to the bridge.
But we opened a bridge for motorists after a large traffic jam in the area, “said an East Zone police officer.
