Noida / Ghaziabad: With some cases typhus scrub recorded in the last few days, doctors have warned people who opposed to stay in wet places for a long time.

While Ghaziabad reported 24 cases of typhus scrub this year, the latest cases were reported on Friday, in Noida, three cases had been recorded.
The district has not seen cases in the past six years.

Ajay Kumar Gupta, Head, Department of Internal Medicine, Super Special Hospital Max Vaishali, Ghaziabad, said: “Typhus scrub is not a new disease.

People with low immunity are more susceptible to infection.

All 24 cases detected this year came from private hospitals.
