Bengaluru: U Mumba struggled Bengaluru Bulls 45-34 in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) match on Wednesday.
Abhishek Singh scored 11 RAID points for Mumbai and capable supported by Ajith Kumar with eight.
But it was a defense that won them a meeting with Rahul Sethpal who won 5 (7 Tackle points + 1 Bonus Points).
Mumbai’s defense, Marshalled by Fazel Atrachali, ensured that the Captain Pawan Bulls had spent a lot of time in the rest room.
Pawan did secure his Super 10 but did not get enough support from his teammate to challenge you Mumba.
U Mumba started the match at the front foot with their Raider Abhishek Singh disappointing the Bulls defenders.
The touch of his clinical hand gave Mumbai the initial advantage while Tackle Fazel Atrachali at Pawan Sehawat made sure the Bulls captain remained in the rest room.
The Mumbai side befalls everything in the fifth minute to lead six points.
But Pawan is not the mood to let Mumbai escape with the game.
The three-point Super Raid in the seventh minute shifted the balance of the match towards his team when they were getting closer to cause all-out.
Two super tackles by Rahul Sethpal helped Mumbai fight, but they finally conceded in the 17th minute to raise the score.
Pawan Sehawat received Super 10 in the last minute of the first half ending 22-20 with Mumbai in the lead.
Interestingly, both Mumba and Bengaluru Bulls have exactly 13 RAID points before the interval.
The second half began with Mumbai won everything.
Abhishek Singh completed his Super 10 when they opened the advantage of seven initial points.
Bulls immediately resisted and reduced the gap to only four at the end of the 10th minute.
But your defense Mumba stepped over with captain Fazel Atrachali putting his body on the line to do a tackle.
Mumbai sent Pawan and Bharat to the bench to increase the loophole to eight with a five-minute remaining.
U Mumba gets all three of them with three minutes left to open a 12-point lead.
It proved too much for the Bulls to conquer when Mumbai pulled an important victory in the race for playoff playing places.
