Tarouba (Trinidad): India Under 19 Yash Dhull Skipper, Deputy Sheikh Rasheed and four teammates they have been tested positive for Covid-19, forcing them out of the World Cup Group B match against Ireland here on Wednesday.
Apart from Dhull and Rasheed, Aaradhya Yadav’s dough, Vasu Vats, Manav Parakh, and Siddharth Yadav was also found infected with a virus, because in which India had barely managed to oppose XI against Ireland.
“Three Indian players have tested positive yesterday and were isolated.
In the morning before the captain’s match and our captain was also tested positively in a quick antigen test that was not conclusive,” BCCI officials told PTI.
“So they are, as a precaution, pulled out.
The players put Skipper Yash Dhull and his deputy Shaikh Rasheed.
We only have 11 players available and six isolated,” officially added.
While Skipper Dhull and Rasheed appeared in the opening match against South Africa, Aardhya was not part of the game.
Nishant Sindhu led the team in the absence of dhull.
