UAE cut Houthi’s attack, Saudi Arabia reported two injured by fallen missiles

Dubai: The United Arab Emirates taped and destroyed two Houthi ballistic missiles targeting the Gulf State on Monday without victims, the defense ministry said, following a deadly attack a week before.
For more than six years, Houthi has fought against the Saudi coalition which includes UAE, repeatedly carried out cross-border and drone missile attacks in Saudi Arabia, and launched an unprecedented attack on the UAE on January 17.
“The remnants of ballistic missiles were intercepted falling in a separate area around Abu Dhabi,” the ministry said, adding it took the necessary protection measures against all attacks.
UAE National newspaper quoted residents reported Flash in the sky above the capital at around 4:30 Monday was the second in the UAE land since last week’s strike that hit fuel depots in Abu Dhabi, killed three people, and caused fire nearby international airport.
Houthi-Run Al Masirah Television said the group would announce in several hours of detail “extensive military operations” against Saudi Arabia and UAE.
The Saudi State media on Monday said that the coalition intercepted ballistic missiles, with the remnants of workshops and damaging vehicles in the south of the kingdom.
It was said on Sunday that ballistic missiles fell south, injured two foreigners and caused damage in the industrial area.
The United Nations, who along with the United States have struggled to engineer a ceasefire for Yemen, has voiced concerns over escalates and called for maximum restraints by both parties.
The Saudi LED coalition has increased air strikes about what is described as the Houthi target in Yemen.
At least 60 people were killed in an attack at a temporary detention center in North Saada Province on Friday, and around 20 was killed in the capital Houthi Sanaa in operation on Tuesday.
The coalition in Yemen in March 2015 several months after Houthis overthrew internationally recognized government from Sanaa.
The group said it was fighting for a corrupt system and foreign aggression.
The UAE has mostly reduced its presence in Yemen in 2019 amid a military deadlock, but the Yemeni troops supported by Emirati recently joined the battle against Houthis in the main energy-producing province in Yemen.
