Dubai: The United Arab Emirates will begin giving a booster shot against Covid-19 to all individuals who are fully vaccinated in the Arab Bay State, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCema) said on Tuesday.
It was said on Twitter, Booster’s shot would be available for people who were considered high-risk three months after their second vaccine dose, and six months for others.
The Gulf State, which has approved five types of Covid-19 vaccine, in June began to provide booster shots to those who were originally immunized with a vaccine developed by the China National Pharmaceutical Group (Sinopharm).
Tourism and regional business centers have the highest immunization level in the world.
About 79% of the population of about nine million has received a vaccine dose, while around 70% have been fully vaccinated, according to the latest official data.
