Mumbai: Passengers from India will be allowed to transit through the UAE from August 5, announcing the National Emergency Crisis of the UAE and Disaster Management Authority (NCema) on Tuesday.
Relaxation in the travel limit came more than three months after the UAE closed the doors to passengers from India on April 25, when the country was against the second wave of Covid.
Until then the Indian-UAE couple was the second busiest international route in the world from January to April.
Following the prohibition, only UAE residents, those who hold the UAE gold visa and diplomatic missions are allowed to rise to companies from India to the UAE.
The UAE authority also allowed passengers from India to be vaccinated in the UAE and who held legitimate UAE residency permits to travel to UAE from August 5.
Passengers who were not vaccinated to work with the UAE government, students, teachers, medical technicians, they were emergencies etc.
Can also enter the UAE as long as they have residency permits.
In a tweet posted in Arabia on Tuesday on Tuesday night, Ncema said that ‘the journey will continue transit passengers from all countries where transit passengers were previously stopped.’ Transit passengers will need a negative PCR report taken 72 hours before departure and will have to get the ‘final goal approval’, basically shows that their journey will end in another country.
The UAE airport will allocate a separate lounge for this transit passenger, the Order said.
Previously, the UAE Authority was tweeted that passengers from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Uganda, who held valid UAE residency permits could fly to UAE from 5.
