Jaipur: The Udaipur division has become strategically important for health authorities in the war against Covid because of the sustainable migration of people from Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Although Udaipur has a few active cases, he has attracted the attention of the Chief Minister of Ashok Gehlot, who informed Secretary’s health Siddharth Mahajan on Saturday that even though Udaipur did not become like Jaipur, they had almost the same active case.
Mahajan said not only Udaipur, but the entire Udaipur division was important in the war against Covid when people continued to migrate from Maharashtra and Gujarat and entered from south of Rajasthan.
“The reported case recently in Banswara comes from another state.
We monitor the situation in the Udaipur division because the second wave also appeared from there,” Mahajan said.
Jaipur has 67 active cases and active cases of Udaipur are 60, while the active case of the current state 237.
In August, there were no Covid deaths reported, while 147 people had tested the positive virus in the last seven days.
In July, 33 people died because of 15 deaths that occurred in Udaipur.
Jaipur and Udaipur collectively reported more than 50% of Covid cases reported in the country in August (1-7).
At present they collectively accommodate 53.6% of the current status active case.
In addition, 19 people were positively tested for Covid in the state on Saturday, taking the overall calculation to 9.53,812.
There are no deaths reported.
The country toll stands at 8,954.
