Udaipur: After a trial for a month in the sea on the ship anchored from the port in North Cyprus, 13 crew members including 10 of India finally returned home with an external ministry intervention.
The seafarers were stranded as a company that initially had a ship to sell it to another company, which pressed the crew to bring it to Libya.
Sanjeev Singh Rathore from Udaipur on arrival said that the company continued to give mental torture but they did not give up.
We were stranded in the Cyprus port because of an agreement between the two companies.
We struggle for 8 days.
Sanjeev said that all 10 crew members reached the Port of Farsud in Norway with flights from India on May 30.
After this, the ship reached Famagusta in Cyprus after loading cargo through Port Harveys in England.
Meanwhile, the ship was sold by the Norwegian Marine Cargo company to the company’s sumanity.
Representatives of new companies constantly suppresses us to go to Port Tripoli in Syria.
The crew member was not allowed to get off the ship and was under pressure to take the ship to the port in the war zone in Libya.
We don’t want to go to Syria according to the Indian guidelines for Sanjeev.
The company first stopped our salary and to create mental pressure, they even stopped our food and water.
Our request to send us home was ignored.
We have to survive without food for four days and drink sea water.
Sanjeev said that captain Sanjay Parashar, Abhimanyu Soni and Abhijeet Sangle, all Indian presidents for Sea Farer played an important role in our return home.
Sanjeev called his wife on Whatsapp and told him about the condition of the grave faced by other crew members.
