Dubai: The capital of the United Arab Emirates on Sunday ordered all residents who received the Sinopharm Coronavirus vaccine supported by China for six months ago to get a booster shot on September 20, adding that other vaccine recipients did not require the third dose.
UAE became the first country around the world to officially offered a booster regimen earlier this year, following the Sinopharm recipient’s report who was looking for third shots amid concerns about insufficient antibody responses.
Abu Dhabi, who imposed some of the most stringent vaccine restrictions in this summer area, hardened his attitude on Sunday, saying that those who received two sinopharm doses would no longer be able to access places such as the third booster mall without a third shot.
