Kampala: Sukant Kadam India claimed gold after two years in Uganda the International Badminton, while compatriot Pramod Bhagat settled for three silver on Sunday.

5 Kadam defeated fellow Indian Nilesh Balu Gaikwad 21-16, 17-21, 21-10 in 38 minutes in the Clash Sumles men’s summit in the SL4 category.
“It’s a good match and it feels good to solve Jinx and win a gold medal after 2 years.
It will motivate me to work harder,” said Kadam.

In the final of the SL3 man, Bhagat was defeated by Manoj Sarkar’s double partner in a tight game.
The game went to the wire and in the end Bhagat missed 19-21, 16-21.
In men’s doubles, Bhagat and Sarkar lost 21-10, 20-22, 15-21 to their Indian colleagues Mohammad Arwaz Ansari and Deep Ranjan Bisoyee.
In the mixed doubles of the SL3-SU5, Bhagat and Palak Joshi lost 19-21, 16-21 to Indian couple Ruthick Ragupathi and Manasi Girishchandra Joshi.
