New Delhi: Commission Grant University (UGC) has framed more flexible rules for various central and other universities throughout the country.
Below, regular universities will be allowed to offer online courses and other important courses through distance learning even posting Covid-19 pandemics.
UGC has decided to start 123 different online courses.
Of this number, 40 programs for postgraduate students (PG) and 83 for undergraduate students (UG) have been decided.

Singh said that several steps have been taken to make courses available on the digital platform.
Singh talks about ‘SWAYAM’, ‘SWAYAM PRABHA’, the National Academic Depository (NAD) and other digital platforms for that purpose.
He said that as part of the UGC initiative, he had brought students to the mainstream of online education.
UGC said that the exam for courses offered through online media ‘SWAYAM’ will also be held.
According to UGC, the Chancellor of various universities must ensure that the process of conducting this examination must begin at the end of August.
The National Test Agency will conduct this examination at various inspection centers throughout the country, which will be carried out for various UG and PG non-technical courses in the January-April 2021 semester.
UGC has also sent a notification to all universities and colleges on the exam done through ‘SWAYAM’.
‘Swayam’ provides non-technical UG and PG courses to all students, professionals who work, students for life and everyone throughout the country.
Apart from this, UGC will also promote the use of regional languages.
The legal entity will delete the language bar by allowing technical courses in various regional languages which many important steps are taken by UGC.
At the same time, the UGC in its instructions issued for various universities throughout the country said that the classes carried out online, offline and mixed modes for middle semester students must begin as early as possible.
