Bhubaneswar: Application of Rajendra University Balangir to the Grants University (UGC) Commission for Grant of Recognition has been rejected by the Commission.
The Department of Higher Education has urged a commission to re-examine this problem and provide recognition to the university.
Institutions have requested recognition in accordance with Part 2 (F) of the UU UU.
The Commission provides financial assistance to universities that meet the requirements included in Section 2 (F) and are declared suitable for receiving central assistance (UGC grants) below Section 12 (b) UGC Law, 1956.
