Bhubaneswar: Application of Rajendra University Balangir to the Grants University (UGC) Commission for Grant of Recognition has been rejected by the Commission.
The Department of Higher Education has urged a commission to re-examine this problem and provide recognition to the university.
Institutions have requested recognition in accordance with Part 2 (F) of the UU UU.
The Commission provides financial assistance to universities that meet the requirements included in Section 2 (F) and are declared suitable for receiving central assistance (UGC grants) below Section 12 (b) UGC Law, 1956.

The Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education at the Sasswat Mishra in a letter to the UGC said legally and factually misstep said that the University of Rajendra had not been determined in the legislative action of the state.

Mishra said the government had created several other universities including the female university of Rama Devi, University of Fakir Mohan and GM Sambalpur University under the part 32 (1) Law of the University of Odisha, 1989.

Rajendra University Vice-Chancellor Umaballava Mohaparna said they had submitted confession but UGC had refused.
