LONDON: Self-isolation period for people who test positive Covid-19 in the UK will be deducted from 10 days to seven for those who produce two negative flow test results (LFT) on sixth and seven days since the beginning of their quarantine, secretary health England Sajid Javid announced on Wednesday.
Javid said the change was carried out with consultation with the British Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and aimed at reducing interference in frontline service and other businesses.
Under the previous rules, people must isolate themselves for 10 full days if they test the positive Coronavirus.

The change followed the warning that national health services (NHS), social services and other front-line services were looking at severe shortcomings amid a surge in the ongoing Omicron variant – which took the Covid-19 English daily infection above 90,000 in the last few days.
The self-level insulation period was reduced from 14 days to 10 again in December 2020 as the Alfa variant spread quickly through the English section.
Recently, isolation must be dropped for close contact who is vaccinated from the positive Covid-19 case during the delta wave this year and has now been replaced with Daily LFT.
Most parts of the UK follow the rules of quarantine and similar social distance, with various levels of locking intensity.
On Tuesday, Downing Street released the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to confirm that no further locking limit would be forced in England before Christmas for the weekend.
However, he emphasized that Omicron data was monitored carefully and that the government might have to carry a more stringent sidewalk after Christmas next week.

Meanwhile, England recorded 90,629 other new covid cases on Tuesday, which only slightly dropped from the previous day 91,743.
