Bareily: British passport holder – who arrived in India on November 24 – was tested positive for Covid but managed to fly out of the country on December 4 after securing a negative report from a private lab without limits.
SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan said: “We will take action so complaints submitted by the Ministry of Health.” The first sample of the man, who was born in Bareilly and worked in England, was collected on December 3 and the report arrived at the same night.
However, according to the second lab record, RT-PCR was collected at 9am on December 4 and the report came out at 11am.
He then went to Delhi and rode a flight at 4 pm.
The Bareilly health department has ordered an investigation into the second lab.
On December 6, the swab was collected by the first lab sent to Lucknow for further investigation and the report came out positively.
