Letter: The main investigation with a mass conversion complaint has revealed that around Rs 80 Crore was sent by British citizens, Fefdawala Haji Abdulla, through Hawala to the defendant to proselitize poor villagers of Kankaria village and also to expand their rackets to other areas as well as well.
The police are now investigating funding channels and also if the money is also used for anti-national activities.
The entire racket was hit after a man repented back to his own faith and also filed a complaint about the 100-person mass conversion of 37 family of Kankaria Village from Bharuch.
Aamod police registered a violation and arrested four defendants, namely Abdul Aziz Patel Ajit Chaganbhai Vasava, Yusuf Jivanbhai Patel aka Mahendra Jivanbhai Vasava, Ayub Barkatbhai Patel Aka Raman Barkatbhai Vasava, and Ibrahim Punabhai Patel Aka Punabhai Vasava.
All accused of being a resident of Kankaria Village.
The local court gave five-day custody from the defendant to be questioned.
According to the police, four were accused of fries in rackets while large fish were smoke.
The police are now trying to identify other suspects who may have helped the squeeze directly or indirectly, said an official.
The four defendants have also been converted and not in collaboration with researchers, added the police.
The police team will visit the letter according to the police, four acoused has made a fake aadhaar card and other legal documents from villagers who repented in the letter.
However, they have not revealed the right information about where they made fake documents.
To investigate further, a team will visit a letter in the next coming days, an official said.
