UK recorded 44,985 new Koronavirus cases

LONDON: 44,985 Other people in the UK have tested positive Covid-19, bringing the total number of cases of Coronavirus in this country to 8,734,934, according to official figures released on Saturday.
The country also reported 135 deaths related to Coronavirus.
The total number of deaths related to Coronavirus in the UK is now at 139,461.
These figures only include the deaths of people who died within 28 days after their first positive test.
There are currently 8,238 patients in hospitals with Covid-19.
The latest data comes when the World Health Organization (WHO) warns that vaccines will not be enough to lift the world from a pandemic.
Margaret Harris, a WHO spokesman, said: “We really have to do other steps” to recover from Covid-19.
Meanwhile, Professor Stephen Reicher from St Andrews University warned that British risk “Dilly-Halling to Locking” if it did not act immediately.
Speaking to Sky News, he warned that the “not enough” vaccine “and” other protection “needed to curb a pandemic.
Professor Peter OpenShaw, a member of the threat of a new respiratory virus and a new advisory group (nervtag), told the BBC that he was afraid of other “Christmas Kuncian” when asked what people could expect from vacation if government policy did not change.
However, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has insisted on the “high level” of infection in this country “fully in line” with predictions made earlier this year.
But he said the government would “keep all actions under a constant review”.
The prime minister said there was “absolutely nothing showing” the country will enter the new locking this winter, even though he added the government would “do whatever we must do to protect the community”.
Speaking at the Downing road conference on Wednesday, Health Secretary Sajid Javid warned that the pandemic Coronavirus “did not end”.
Javid has even estimated there may be 100,000 Covid cases a day towards winter.
More than 86 percent of people aged 12 years and over in the UK have their first vaccine dose and more than 79 percent have received both doses, the latest numbers show.
To bring a normal life back, countries such as Britain, China, Germany, Russia and the United States have competed against time to launch the Coronavirus vaccine.
