LONDON: England on Monday called Iran’s Ambassador to London in response to what he claimed was an attack ordered by Tehran on a merchant ship off the coast of Oman who killed the Englishman and Romanian national.

“Iran must immediately stop the risk of at risk of peace and international security,” he added, by saying that “the ship must be allowed to navigate freely in accordance with international law”.

Two members of the crew of the oil tanker owned by Japan, Diibita, managed by leading Israeli businessmen companies, were killed in what appeared to be a drone attack, London-based operators and the US military said Friday.
Israel also blames Iran.
US Navy troops came to the assistance of the crew in response to emergency emergency calls and saw evidence of the attack, the US military statement said.
Analysts said the attack took all the advantages of Tit-for-Tat exchanges in “shadow war” between Israel and Iran, where ships related to each country had been targeted in the waters.
Zodiac Maritime, owned by Israeli Billionaire Eyal ofer, said the incident on the Mercer Street MT ship on Thursday killed a Romanian and a British citizen, who was a guard for the British maritime security company Ambrey.
The ship was in the North Indian Ocean, traveling from Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania to Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates without cargo on board when the attack took place, he said.
The Iranian state TV channel in Al-Alam Arabic, citing “informed regional sources”, said the attack was “a response to the recent Israeli attack” targeting the airport in Central Syria.
