Dehradun: The lake made by 300 meters formed at 7,000 feet following heavy rain in Munsiyari in the Pithoragarh district has sparked fear of flooding among the locals.
The lake has been formed in the Maalupati area after a landslide driven by heavy rain blocking the seasonal, Bhupendra Singh Mahra, District Disaster Management, was confirmed to TII.
In the past week, Pithoragarh Regency has received 44.9mm rainfall with heavy bath attacks in several places, including Munsiyari and Dharchula on Friday and Saturday, according to the regional meteorological center.
