Gopeshwar: Biker was washed by a swift current of a rivulet which was flooded with heavy rain between Tharali and Gwaladam in Chamoli District Uttarakhand on Monday, police said.
Motorcyclists were trying to cross the swollen rivulet lolt when he lost the vehicle balance and was swept away by his circling waters, said the Tharli (SHO) Dhwaj Vim Singh house officer.
Local residents told the police about the incident after the search operation was launched, he said.
The bike was stuck about 100 meters downstream but the man was washed away.
