DEHRADUN: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has stated that the imitation Covid testing scam through the Kumbh Mela at Haridwar dates back before his sentence, although his predecessor, Trivendra Singh Rawat, required a judicial probe to it.
Both opinions came Thursday.
The choice to rope from private companies to run Covid tests through the Kumbh Mela was shot until he took over as Chief Minister, Tirath Singh Rawat had stated.
“The con is older.
I took over in March.
But a probe is already arranged in to it and stern action will be taken against individuals involved,” he told reporters on the sidelines of a programme, even on Thursday.
Tirath Singh Rawat became the Chief Minister of the country March 10 while the Kumbh Mela was held in April 1 to April 30.
But he voiced that the state government’s work to bring the facts and punish the guilty.
His predecessor, Trivendra Singh Rawat, has demanded an impartial probe into the scam with a high court judge, terming the scam deep in character.
The Uttarakhand authorities on Thursday had lodged a case from a business and also two private labs for fudging coronavirus evaluation reports through the Kumbh Mela in April.
The company, Max Corporate Service, Nalwa Laboratories Private Limited of Hisar and Delhi-based Dr Lalchandani Lab are accused of issuing bogus bad evaluation reports.
