LONDON: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson wants US citizens to come to the English “free” and are discussing travel corridors with the United States, said Radio LBC on Wednesday, before the expected easing of Covid-19 restrictions for visitors from abroad.
The airline boss and travel have criticized England to hold fast to the rules of the strict Covid-19 trip they say mean that the country falls behind the European Union in attracting tourists, but what is seen will change.
The decision to allow UE and US travelers who are fully vaccinated to the UK without having to be isolation, expected immediately and the new rules can come into force as early as next week, the government’s source said provided that the terms of anonymity.

As soon as we have something to say about the travel corridor, you will hear it from us.” For its part, the United States continues to train almost all non-US citizens who have been in the UK and the European Union, but the EU now allows US citizens to visit, benefit the airline and tourism industry.
British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Heathrow Airport on Wednesday revealed their calls for England to open, said they had run a successful trial which showed the government that this industry could verify the passenger vaccine credentials.
Detailing the expected rule changes, the government’s source told Reuters that while travelers who were fully vaccinated would be released from quarantine, they still had to take two Covid-19 tests, one before departure and one after arriving.
Easyjet and Wizz Air have said restrictions on sustainable British trips, which include several Covid-19 tests for arrival, meaning that bookings from Europe surpassed reservations from the UK.
Asked about changes to the upcoming rules for those who visited from the European Union, Wizz Chief Executive Jozsef Varadi said on Wednesday: “I thought it would give another encouragement to England.”
